Currently Facebook only allows users to sort their groups in a limited manner. Users may choose the following options to sort their Facebook groups:
- All Groups
- Recently Updated
- By Group Member Size
- Groups You Admin
- Invitations to Groups
Users should have more options to sort their groups. When searching for groups to join, users may choose to view only groups in a certain category. Users should also be able to view their own groups by category. Users should also be able to view categories of groups that their friends have joined (granted that users would be able to control the privacy setting of this feature).
My feature request goes back to a basic principle: Information should be easily accessible. Allowing users more options to sort their groups and their friends groups will enable users to be more involved in their Facebook groups and to discover groups their friends have joined.
