I asked someone why she supported Mike Huckabee the quote following is her response:
I would be happy to express why I like and am supporting Huckbee:1.) He is a man of God and quotes Scripture continually.
2.) He is the most well-spoken of the candidates.
3.) He is respectful but has never flip-flopped or backed down from his convictions.
4.) He is for the Fair Tax plan.
5.) He is clear that “faith does not influence my decisions, it drives them.”
6.) He is the most consistently pro-life candidate and is for a sanctity of life amendment, over-turning of Roe v. Wade.
7.) He aims to make us food and oil-dependent within a decade so that we don’t need to depend on nuclear countries like Iran who want to kill us.
8.) He is against same-sex marriage and would implement an amendment that defines marriage as between one man and one woman, for life.
9.) He has done a lot in Arkansas for homeschooled families.
10.) He is not an isolationist, but is determined to stay in Iraq until we have acheived our mission. If we withdraw now, there will be greater chaos and the threats from terrorist countries will not subside. Turkey will lose the Kurds because they will establish their own homeland, they will expereince civil war, and we will lose them as an important ally.
11.) He is pro-Second Amendment.
12.) He is against amnesty and for securing our borders.
13.) He wants to implement arts and music eductaion into the public school program.
1.) I’ve been praying about him and am continually convicted that he is the greatest man to be president and that God has annointed him.
This is my point by point rebuttal.
1) Huckabee supports the CFR, whose stated goal is to create a New World Order.

2) Ron Paul is the only candidate that can literally speak for hours on various political and economic subjects because he is so well read.
3) Huckabee flip-flopped on immigration, Cuba, and a tax pledge.

4) Huckabee is for increasing spending just as he did in Arkansas. The Fair Tax does not repeal the unconstitutionally ratified 16th amendment. The Fair Tax (which I used to support until I read a free market analysis of it) is a fraud. Read “The Fraudulent Tax” by Laurence Vance at http://www.mises.org/story/2327

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS3BxggBTa8&feature=related
5) He does not support free market economics (part of the biblical worldview http://summit.org ) and he supports the CFR. He supports farm subsidies to mega-corporations.
6) Ron Paul introduced legislation, Sanctity of Life Act of 2005 and Sanctity of Life Act of 2007 http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1094/show ) that would immediately repeal Roe v. Wade.
7) The war in Iraq is partly about oil. “Greenspan: Iraq was all about the oil” http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/09/16/greenspan-iraq-was-all-about-the-oil/
Marriage cannot (and should not) be defined by the state. Marriage is defined by God as being between a man and woman. Ron Paul supports abolishing marriage licenses as this is a religious issue.

“Just how is it that Huckabee can be perceived as a homeschooling advocate? The actual record isn’t as pretty as the flowery words he uses to describe it.
* During his term as Governor, Huckabee signed into law increases in mandatory vaccination schedules and expanding coverage from public schools to private daycares.
* During the Univision debate, held in Florida, Huckabee reiterated his strong support of the federal Department of Education, an agency which has no legitimate authority dictating curriculum to the states, much less existing.
* He has advocated that federal funds be distributed to pay for arts and music studies in state schools as a “reform” to the No Child Left Behind act, a position – a big hit with the teachers unions.
* In 1999, Mike Huckabee signed into law a bill which added major restrictions on homeschooling parents and which was opposed by the HSLDA.”
10) Ron Paul believes in a non-interventionist foreign policy like Jefferson and Washington. http://www.redpills.org/?p=402 The war on terror is a fraud. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/70/arguments-against-a-war-in-iraq/

11) Ron Paul supports the 2nd amendment.

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/second-amendment/
Further Ron Paul will work to pull us out of the anti-gun UN and is against the CFR.
12) Huckabee flip-flopped on immigration : http://www.immigrationwatchdog.com/?p=5317 . Huckabee in fact supports amnesty. http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin411.htm
“MORE REASONS TO BEWARE OF MIKE HUCKABEE”
“Writing for World Net Daily, Dr. Corsi exposed the fact that Mike Huckabee “worked with some of the state’s most prominent and politically powerful businesses to establish the [Mexican] consulate as a magnet for drawing illegal immigrants to the state to accept low-paying jobs.”
13) Ron Paul favors abolishing the federal Department of Education.
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/education/
” The federal government does not own our children. Yet we act as if it does by letting it decide when, how, and what our children will learn. We have turned their futures over to lobbyists and bureaucrats.
I support giving educational control back to parents, who know their children better than any politician in D.C. ever will.
The federal government has no constitutional authority to fund or control schools. I want to abolish the unconstitutional, wasteful Department of Education and return its functions to the states. By removing the federal subsidies that inflate costs, schools can be funded by local taxes, and parents and teachers can directly decide how best to allocate the resources.”
14) Please take the time to research this candidate. Do not make the same mistake I made when I supported George W. Bush in 2004. Some great news sources are
